Diamond profiling wire

Diamond profiling wire

The profiling wire is a tool specially designed for making special profiles, concave or convex cuts. It is ideal for artistic and decorative applications, creating complex shapes and contours on stone blocks. It is designed to work under special cutting conditions and is suitable for different types of natural stone. It is therefore fully customisable.

PROCESSABLE MATERIALS

Features

The diamond wire consists of three main components:

  • Supporting steel cable: shaping of the wire into 7 secondary cables with different diameters according to the type.
  • Electroplated or sintered diamond beads. Bond and diamond studied for the material to cut.
  • Rubber or plastic assembly to protect the steel cable from the abrasive action of the stone.

Customisation

Our stone analysis laboratory (with over 3,200 samples analysed to date) can identify with absolute certainty the most suitable binder/diamond/grain to meet your requirements. Depending on your needs, we are able to produce the diamond wire with different parameters according to:

  • Wire diameter: varies according to the application (from 2.35 mm to 3.8 mm)
  • Diamond beads: electroplated or sintered, depending on the material to be cut (number of balls per metre from 30 to 39, with a diameter from 5.3 to 8 mm).
  • Rubber or plastic assembly: to protect the steel cable and improve vibration absorption.
  • Working material (marble, granite, sandstone, limestone, travertine or other natural stone) to obtain the best diamond composition for cutting performance.

The advantages

In addition to its versatility, our diamond wire offers numerous advantages:

  • No vibration during cutting
  • Low noise level
  • Excellent precision
  • high cutting speed
  • Minimal energy consumption
  • low water consumption
