The multi-wire diamond wire consists of three main elements:

• Supporting steel wire: made up of 7 secondary wires of different diameters.
• Diamond beads, electroplated in marble or sintered in marble and granite.
• Rubber or plastic assembly to protect the steel wire from the abrasive action of the stone.

Customisation

Our stone analysis laboratory (over 3,200 samples analysed to date) can identify with absolute certainty the most suitable bond/diamond/grain to meet your requirements. Depending on the type of material you need to cut, we are able to customise the diamond wire for:

• Wire diameter: varies according to the application (2.35 to 3.5 mm).
• Diamond beads: electroplated or sintered, depending on the material to be cut (number of beads per metre 37, bead diameter 5.3 to 7.2 mm).
• Assembly: plastic, to protect the steel cable and improve vibration absorption.
• Material to be worked (marble, granite, sandstone, limestone or other natural stone) to obtain the best diamond composition for cutting performance.
